COMPARATIVE STUDIES OF EARLY
BRAIN-BEHAVIORAL RELATIONS
Many of the Network’s projects involve animals, as the
examination of brain development often requires methods that would not
be practical in humans. In order to better understand the relationship
between these animal studies and the Network’s human studies,
some of the Network’s work focuses on comparisons between
animal brain development and human brain development. These studies
will allow the Network to better interpret the findings of animal
studies and how they relate to similar human studies, and to conditions
found in the human.
